There is nothing better than healthy glowing skin, especially when you feel a bit rubbish. When your skin looks good it makes you feel better. Here are a few of my tips on how to cheat that healthy dewy skin.
- Drink plenty, not only will you feel better by doing it your skin will thank you for a good drink of water. Instantly making it look better without any effort.
- Use a balm or oily cleanser, something you can really massage into the skin not only will it re-hydrate dry, dehydrated skin, giving your skin a good massage will get the blood flowing and boost that inner glow.
- Make sure your using the right moisturiser for your skin. If your skins drinking your face cream right up its not hydrating enough also if its sitting on the top of your skin and not sinking in choose a lighter one. Glowing skin is definitely not about looking like an oil slick.
- If You like you can choose a dewy finish foundation for a bit of extra glow or a tinted moisturiser or bb cream if you're not worried about the coverage.
- Don't worry if you only have a matte foundation, try mixing a little bit of serum like Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (here) or bit of moisturiser into you foundation. You can also add these over the top for added dewiness.
- If you need to powder, try just using a translucent powder down your T zone, and only where you need it, to stop your make up looking dull or cakey. There are also lots of illuminating powders available now with light reflecting particles so try on of those instead of your usual mattifying powders.
- A bit of bronzer will add a bit of colour and warmth to the skin. Use it mainly on your cheek bones and the outer parts of your face, anywhere the sun would hit. You can also add a bit of blusher as well to give more of a rosy sunkissed glow.
- Highlighters are great for that finishing touch. on the top of the cheek bones, down the nose and the cupids bow gives a gorgeous sheen when it catches the light. My favourites are Benefits Watts Up highlighter (here) and Topshop's Highlighter in Sunbeam. There are lots of lovely ones available in all different shades and formulas so try a few and see what works best for you.
- Keep the rest of your make up simple for a natural look. A little bit of neutral eyeshadow and mascara and a slick of lipgloss while finish the look perfectly.
