B is for... Barry M Nail Paint

Barry M is definitely one of my favourite brands for nail polish. They're a good price, good quality and last a long time compared to some of the more expensive brands. They are unique and are constantly updating their range with something new and exciting I've really been enjoying Barry M's new Aquarium range which include 4 two tone nail paints and 2 glitter ones.

I've really been liking the shade Mediterranean, which is a gorgeous pinky red golden shade. It looks beautiful on the nails and would suit a lot of people. I've photographed it here with a couple of other favourites from the range these include Ruby Glitter, Papaya and Berry Cosmo.

Ruby Glitter is a red and black glitter paint. It looks pretty on it own but all looks great layered over reds, black and nude shades.

Papaya from their Gelly Hi-Shine range which is a bright/pastel orange, lovely for the spring and summer.

Berry Cosmo a beautiful deep reddish purple. I also included a swatch of Mediterranean over Berry Cosmo which creates a deep pinky shade and would look great for a night out!

They're all on Buy 1 get 1 Half Price at the moment in Boots, you can find them all here.

  1. I am such a nail polish fan - although don't go in for the extremes as I've got older! One of my pet hates is nail polish chipping within 24 hours - Grrrr!

    1. I know i hate it when nail polish chips. I find Barry M are pretty good at lasting a good couple of days though as long as you put at top coat over and then there nice and shiny too!

  2. Ooh nice, nail polish is the one bit of "make up" I do wear, love the last one in particular! Nail polish always chips with me after 24 hours, cheap or expensive, shop bought or manicure... I have no idea what I do to cause it!

    1. I hate it when nail polish chips. Have you tried wiping nails with acetone nail polish remover before you put nail polish on it helps take a little bit of moisture out your nails so the nail polish sticks better. Also the Revlon quick dry top coat is pretty good at making nail polish last longer and makes nails dry quicker too!

    2. Yep I've tried the remover trick first but that doesn't seem to make any noticable difference. Have to admit I'm rubbish at doing a separate top coat - will often do glitter over a block colour so happy on big occassions to do 4 coats, 2 of each... but I even chip that. Will have to look out for that one and give it a go!

  3. And of course you need a base coat on before the nail polish.
